The From Broken Glass: My Story of Finding Hope in Hitler's Death Camps to Inspire a New Generation

From the survivor of 10 Nazi concentration camps, this inspiring memoir tells a story about finding strength in the face of despair. After enduring inconceivable cruelty as well as receiving compassion from caring fellow prisoners, Steve Ross believes the human spirit is capable of rising above even the bleakest circumstances. Once settled in the US, he devoted himself to underprivileged youth as a psychologist working in Boston city schools.

At the end of his career, Steve Ross spearheaded the creation of the New England Holocaust Memorial, a site millions of people, including young students, visit every year.

His son, former Boston Councilman, Mike Ross, shares his father’s incredible story.
